Farmhouse beddings, which can be purchased at any number of retailers and can cost up to $800 to make, are becoming a popular trend in the United States.
As Australia’s farming industry continues to expand, it has also become a hotbed for bedding companies.
The trend has gained popularity among those looking to get their house in order and to save money.ABC TV presenter Jessica MacGill says a couple in Melbourne have already purchased the perfect bed for their home.
“This bed was really easy to get out of the house and it was actually very light,” she said.
“We were actually just walking around the property and we couldn’t believe how light this bed is.”
So I actually just sat down with it, put it on the bed and I went and got a chair and went to sleep.
“It is estimated that more than 500 million Australians have purchased a bedding product, according to Australian Bureau of Statistics data.
But while many Australians have become aware of the trend, it is important to note that there is no set definition for a bed beddling, and some may even be more suitable than others.
